I came home on Sunday after working all day and found my kitchen sink full of sewerage. Called Gem from a list because I recognized the name from the trucks I have seen around town. They actually answered the phone at 6:30 on Sunday night. The guy was great very helpful (I know nothing about plumbing) took all my info put me on hold then came right back to say they could have somebody out to me that night and that they would call me. Within the hour they called and said be there in 15 minutes and they were. Guy was great answered all my stupid questions, gave me a price before starting work. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. ( even when I accidentally flushed while he was working!) I had roots in sewer line going to street he was upfront with what was done. About How long I could expect it to last and what I needed to do to fix problems. He even found a leaking pipe I need to fix in bath! When I asked for exact prices for other fixes he either had them or could refer me to who did. I thought the price was a bit steep but it was a Sunday night! And when I checked with other places found they were pretty normal if you could even get service on Sunday night!

I scheduled my first HVAC Maintenance appointment and Emanuel Q came out. Emanuel was great! He answered all of my questions and explained everything he was doing. While he was outside he noticed the wiring for the AC unit wasn't wired correctly and coordinated with his supervisor to come back and install an electrical whip a few days later. Gem has always been my lifesaver and yesterday they came through again. When GEM came yesterday for the annual boiler cleaning they discovered that my boiler was leaking carbon monoxide gas. It had not been leaking the year before so carbon monoxide leaking from your burner. It’s like a tire that’s going flat in the air is coming out. It only gets worse. They gave me an estimate on replacing it, I did some research and they said that they couldn’t install it the next day. The price was in line with everything I had researched and the Bernar rated very high on Trustpilot as did the warranty. Having worked with GEM before, I trust them and I made the deal. Today two men arrived two more came then the Electrician.They got the old burner out they got the new burner installed. They cleaned up the basement and I now have heat and no carbon monoxide.Thanks for being there again GEM.
