There are some amazing rebate opportunities out there, but do you qualify? The requirements for Mass Save rebates are listed below. Still have questions?   • Massachusetts residents who live in a one- to four-unit home and are customers of a participating utility company are eligible for Mass Save residential equipment rebates and incentives. The participating utilities are:
    • Berkshire Gas
    • Cape Light Compact
    • Eversource
    • Liberty
    • National Grid
    • Unitil
  • Heat pump equipment must be installed by December 31, 2024.
  • Forms and documentation must be received by February 28, 2025, for heat pump installations.
  • Equipment must be ENERGY STAR© Cold Climate Certified, but don’t worry, the experts at GEM know what equipment to use.

do i need a home energy assessment?

There are a few situations where you don’t need an HEA in order to qualify for Mass Save rebates:

  • Your home was built during or after 2000
  • Your Home Energy Assessment report indicates less than $1,000 worth of weatherization recommended
  • Weatherization recommendations made during or after 2013 have been completed. Documents supporting these upgrades are only required upon request.
