Joe, the service person who came to fix our water heater, was amazing. Calm, expert, efficient and best of all very interested in showing me (and teaching me about) what was going on. It's really important to be knowledgeable about your own home. The problem has been fixed and I also know what to look out for in the upcoming months and years. The service (and parts) weren't cheap. Phew. But I have a good sense that the good service that Joe provided will ultimately save us money in the long run as we care for our system.
