What maintenance do I get with my GEM Home Comfort Club membership?

GEM Home Comfort Club membership includes two pre-scheduled maintenance visits per year — one for heating, one for cooling.

Do I get any additional discounts with my GEM Home Comfort Club membership?

Yes! All Home Comfort Club members receive an additional 15% discount on any GEM services not covered by your membership.

If I use my own contractor for a inspection or repair, will my GEM comfort club membership still cover it?

Only work completed by a GEM service provider is covered under your GEM Home Comfort Club membership. You must contact Gem to have work performed under your membership. Any work not authorized by Gem or performed by another contractor will not be eligible for reimbursement under your membership.

Does GEM need to inspect my home before I become a Home Comfort Club member?

Nope! You can become a member today by signing up online or calling us at (833) 222-2953, or you can join during any service visit when one of our technicians is in your home – no home inspection required. If you join online or over the phone, our technician will take a quick inventory of your home systems during your first maintenance inspection – this helps us make sure that we have the right parts and tools on our truck whenever we visit your home, so we can solve your home service needs faster.

If I join the GEM Home Comfort Club during an annual inspection visit, is that inspection covered?

Yes! If you decide to sign up for the GEM Home Comfort Club during an inspection, you can use your semi-annual inspection credit on that very same day.

Scheduling

What does priority booking mean?

Priority booking a great advantage of the GEM Home Comfort Club membership program. If there is a major snowstorm or a big heat wave, typically lots of customers need service at the same time. With our priority booking, we’ll prioritize your appointment over non-members.

How do I book an appointment as a GEM Home Comfort Club member?

We’d be delighted to help you book an appointment. You can book directly online, by calling our Home Comfort Club line at (833) 222-2953, or by emailing customercare@gemplumbing.com. Please let us know when booking an appointment that you are a GEM Home Comfort Club member.

When can I start using my GEM Home Comfort Club?

Right away! In fact, you can use your annual maintenance inspection and member discount on the very same day that you become a GEM Home Comfort Club member.

  2. Cooling appointments are pre-scheduled during the months of February, March, and April. Heating appointments are pre-scheduled during the months of August, September, and October — anything outside of this window may incur a dispatch fee. ↩︎

  4. GEM retains the right to determine what constitutes as an emergency — typically defined as a condition that immediately endangers the health and safety of occupants; interferes with the healthcare support of occupants; or a system malfunction that causes damage to the home. ↩︎
  1. Plumbing and drain inspections are visual with no use of a camera.
  2. MEMBERSHIP TERM & AUTO-RENEWAL: The membership lasts for one year from the effective start date and will automatically renew for additional one-year terms unless you provide written notice of termination at least 30 days prior to the renewal date.
  3. PAYMENTS: A valid payment method (credit card, debit card, or ACH) is required for membership. Monthly plans are auto-debited on the same day each month. Annual plans are auto-debited on the same date each year, corresponding to the annual anniversary. If your payments are overdue or your payment method is declined, we may suspend service and cancel the membership.
  4. CANCELLATIONS: If you cancel before the term ends and have received covered services, you will be responsible for the full cost of those services, minus the membership fee you paid. You may cancel your membership at any time. We also reserve the right to cancel your membership due to non-payment. If you cancel within 30 days of the effective start date and have not received any covered services, you are eligible for a full refund of the membership fee.
